In the afternoon of April 8th, faculties of SBA, Zheng Jiaxi, Vice Dean of the SBA, Wu Haitao, Vice Dean of the SBA and Li Fang, Deputy Party Committee Secretary of the SBA visited alumnus’ enterprise Wuhan Chuwei Bio-tech Co.,Ltd for a discussion.
Dr. Zheng Wei, Chairman of Wuhan Chuwei Bio-tech Co.,Ltd, extended a warm welcome to all the faculties and learners from his old school. He expressed his gratitude for the consistent care and support from the SBA since he graduated and felt exited to have the opportunity to communicate with faculties and learners from his old school.
Alumnus Xiang Senlin, Marketing Director of Chuwei Bio-tech, gave an introduction of the developing course, current management status and development vision of Chuwei Bio-tech from the company profile, corporate culture, honors and qualifications, R&D and marketing, etc. His well-rounded and lively introduction displayed a Chuwei image that aims to become a leader in Chinese high value vegetable seed industry. Faculties and learners of the SBA had a greater insight into the company’s mission of “bring happiness to planting and life”!
Zheng Jiaxi, Vice Dean of SBA, felt very proud of what the alumnus’ enterprise has achieved. He highly recognized its business philosophy of Innovation, Self-discipline, Honesty and Win-win and praised Chuwei for its practice to combine company strategy and personal aspiration with national goals for agriculture, rural areas and rural residents as well as farmers’ actual needs. He encouraged the company to grab the opportunity of seed revitalization action so as to achieve self-reliance of the seed technology.
Deputy Party Committee Secretary Li Fang said that this visit and survey serves as not only a good start for college-enterprise cooperation but also a precious lesson for students to grow. Chuwei Bio-tech sticks to the great cause of agriculture, rural areas and rural residents and strives to revitalize Chinese seed industry, which bears far-reaching education significance and is a vivid lesson of responsibility management for youth of the new era.
Vice Dean Wu Haitao fully affirmed the fast development of Chuwei these years and spoke highly of Chuwei’s conduct of taking Chinese seed industry revitalization as its own responsibility as well as a series of scientific results it has achieved. He said Chuwei Bio-tech owns many self-developed core technologies and intellectual property rights, and it bears a promising future in breeding area and enjoys a wide development space. He believes under the lead of alumnus Zhengwei, Chuwei Bio-tech is bound to achieve faster and greater development.
