Introduction:
Since its establishment, the Research Center for Modern Industrial Economy (the Center) has maintained a relatively stable development. Centering on the core guidance of serving the major issues of national economic construction and discussing the theoretical frontier, the Center has been committed to refining its main research directions, regularly carrying out academic research activities, and promoting academic exchanges and discipline construction. So far, the Center has hosted more than 90 sessions of “Industry Frontier Lectures”, which has provided a platform for academic exchange for discipline construction and formed a strong brand influence among peers. In recent years, the Center has undertaken more than 10 national research projects and more than 20 provincial research projects with more than 50 papers published in Chinese and foreign periodicals such as China Industrial Economics and Journal of Contemporary China. Apart from being reproduced by Xinhua Digest and Renmin University of China, many of its fruits have been approved and adopted by Hubei Provincial Party Committee and provincial government, and got provincial and ministerial level awards as well. The research results of the Center have also made great contributions to theoretical research and policy practice.
